💭 It says on the application that only certain people will have their applications considered. How do I know if I should submit one?
Only those who are extended an invite to Aftermath will have their applications considered. You will be informed by 8am PT on Thursday 3/31, the morning before the application is due, if you are one of these people. We have opened the application first so that applicants will have a chance to review it beforehand. You are welcome to start filling it out now and wait till Thursday to submit it, provided you end up receiving an invite. If you submit it before Thursday but do not receive an invite to Aftermath, your application will not be considered.

Recruitment (sometimes called "rush") is a week-long series of events during which our chapter is able to meet, engage with and recruit people to join our fraternity. This is also a time for you (the "rushee") to learn more about what Delta Sigma Pi has to offer and get to know the active brothers.

Frequently Asked Questions

💭 Who is eligible for membership?
In order to be considered for membership, you must be a full-time undergraduate at UCLA and have at least two quarters remaining at UCLA. Transfer students are welcome to apply.

💭 Do I have to be an Economics or Business Economics major?
Nope! We believe that all fields of study are relevant to business, and encourage all majors to come out to Recruitment.

💭 What if I am already a member of another fraternity/sorority?
You are welcome to be a member of multiple Greek organizations. However, members of other professional fraternities under the Professional Fraternity Council are discouraged from applying. Members of Alpha Kappa Psi, Phi Chi Theta, and Phi Gamma Nu are not eligible to apply.

💭 Do I have to attend all days of Recruitment?
Attendance is not mandatory, but you are highly encouraged to attend both Meet the Chapter and Social Night, which are open to all students, as well as any subsequent events you are invited to. Participants who attend more events have more opportunities to get to know us and leave a lasting impression.

💭 How do I get an invite for the invite-only events?
If we think you might be a good fit for us, you will be invited to attend further events so we can get to know you better!

💭 What is the Bid Interview? What are "bids"?
The Bid Interview is the only formal interview in our recruitment process. After the interview, successful applicants will each receive a bid — an official invitation to join our pledge education program.

💭 What is the pledge education program?
If you receive a bid, you will undergo our pledge education program before officially becoming an active member. Our pledge education program will take place over several weeks in the quarter and serves to initiate new members into the fraternity.

💭 If I don't get a bid, can I reapply in the future?
Yes! Every year, we meet many great candidates but are unable to accept everyone. If you are unsuccessful this time, we highly encourage you to come out again to our future Recruitment events. If anything, you might even stand a higher chance on your second try!
